Last week of the Internship

I left of saying I didn't know where I was going to go to dinner Saturday night. Well, I took a recommendation from one of my cousins and got some southern cookin' at a restaurant called Blue Smoke. As I write what I ate I realize that with each food item I list I am getting closer and closer to a heart attack.
- Hush puppies
- Mac & Cheese (heaven in my mouth)
- Cornbread
- Ribs
After eating all that southern food and feeling like I was going to die several hours later, it doesn't surprise me that the top ten overweight states are ALL in the south.

Sunday was a pretty rainy day so I slept in and spent my time getting hooked to a binge drinking movie on Lifetime. I seriously couldn't stop watching it. Finally my brother called and got me out of my trashy movie trance. I met him and Becky at Ess-a-Bagel and then took them over to Dylan's Candy Bar. After they left to go catch their bus I made my way up to 6th ave and walked around the HUGE market.

I went for a run along the east river again. It is such a great run! I am going to miss that about the city. Cruise ships went by, there were about 6 bridges I passed, and tons of dog parks. What am I going to look at during my runs in Harrisonburg? Mennonites and Wal-Mart? Great.

On my way back from my run I went along 1st ave. There are so many pretty restaurants in this city and it's a shame because I will never have time to eat at them all. After my 50 block walk, I also realized ANYTHING you can think of is in this city. I mean annnyyyttthiiingg. I found several places that only thread eyebrows (eww that creeps me out). I also found a hair cuttery that specializes in men's Scandinavian hair cuts. What does that even mean?? And how are they staying in business?

I am off to go watch some intern presentations. Tonight I am going to that cool restaurant with some coworkers. Kelly Ripa ate there last week. Fingers crossed she is craving some Mexican food tonight!
