Swanky Hip Dinnaaa

So here is where I went to dinner last night after work. Me, and two coworkers went downtown to La Esquina. It was amazing Mexican food but I think the best part was the atmosphere. When you go in, you go up to a bouncer and tell him you have reservations. Then a woman looks through the list of names. When she finds your name she walkie-talkies downstairs to tell them we're coming. You go down these beat upstairs, take a left and all the sudden you're in the kitchen. The cooks smile and greet you and as you keep walking through. Then as you turn the corner you're in a dimly lit lounge area with an awesome bar that has candle sticks resembling something from Phantom of the Opera.

For dinner, I got fish tacos (mahi-mahi) with salsa verde and onions. But, to start I got raw tuna and smoked chili on a crispy taco chip. I have never had raw tuna but apparently I now love it. I also got tortilla soup which was served in a bowl resembling a mini cauldron. That right there makes it awesome. I also got a pineapple margarita and for dessert we split warm chocolate cake, espresso, cinnamon, creme fraiche ice cream. Sooo good.

No celebrity sightings though. Everytime someone new walked in I had to immediatly stop eating and stare for about 10 seconds.
